A stock exchange query on the volume of trade in Falcon Minerals over the past few days fuelled talk a suitor is preparing to launch a takeover bid for the company. More than 22.5 million Falcon shares changed hands yesterday, pushing the price up 7to 94 . The gossip is that WMC is putting the finishing touches to a takeover bid at $1.50 a share.
