Not sure when the spin-off is BUT it will not necessarily be cheaper to buy TNG after the spin-off. It all depends on when any significant announcements occur. If TIVAN approval, for example, is announced before the spin-off then the TNG price is likely to surge and the TNG price after a subsequent spin-off may well be more than it is now as a single company.
In summary, it may well be best to buy now while TNG appears cheap and simply sell off the spin-off shares if you don't want them.
