Current down trend is just nervous traders (not investors). MEO may fall more over teh next few days or weeks but a farm-in partner is a good punt and then drilling. All will come to he who waits or trades prudently, IMO.
As to Directors buying, I would prefer they did not take up options and bought on market weekness instead. Why? Because a) it would should they do have some savvy(!), b) would you do otherwise?, c) less dilution (not much anyway but its the principal!) and d) it would show they are in fact still backing the coy with their own money.
However, I expect the actual outcome to be, no exercise of options, no buying (at this time), but I won't be readying anything into it if they do or don't anyway...
