I have just seen the BoM has discovered a rainfall station at Canberra Parliament House Number: 70246 Opened: 1968
A quick check shows a mess of missing data, sometimes many days missed and sometimes not read on strings of days, which means of course that any rain that fell and was not read at 9am but left to be read days later is evaporating so the eventual reading will be lower than if the gauge was read every day.
Sort of completely symptomatic of our useless Govt. Could not run a chook raffle.
