Yeah had the same thought after I posted that - quite conceivable that they are working on additional means of monitoring. Applications outside aerospace, for more static structures could have completely different connectivity methods. A building etc could be always plugged in and constantly monitored.
Hmm I wonder if they have started thinking of expansion to other markets / applications. One can hope.
