It's always a problem isn't it. You just can't get good help anywhere the public service is involved. The thing is, it couldn't possibly be worse then Telstra. Hopefully some lessons have been learned.
I reckon if you put Ralph Norris (CBA) and Wal King (LEI) together they could kick arse and get the thing working.
CBA, while still a long way from perfect, has become much more customer focussed since Ralph took over. It took a couple of years before you saw anything happen at customer level but it's getting better every day.
It is a very difficult job changing culture in a large organisation, but it can be done. Just don't give up... keep the heat on.
