    "As a long time Telstra share holder I ask where is the benefit to me as a result of the NBN tie up?
    1. The TLS share price has dropped since the NBN agreenent was signed.
    2. There is constant talk that the dividend will be cut
    3. There has been no capital returned to shareholders nor does it appear there ever will be
    ...so how have we shareholders benefited?
    ...please explain!"


    @cherob,

    I strongly suspect that the poor performance of Telstra, as an investment, has far more to do with the fact that Telstra operates in a highly-competitive economic sector, where there is negligible pricing discipline among the various industry incumbents, than can be attributed to the NBN tie up, per se.
