receive 2 billion or so mean the dividend is safe form a large drop
Over the last couple of years the Telstra sp has fallen.
I think you have to go back and understand why it rose to near $6 two years ago.
It was a time where many investors had an appetite for dividend stocks.
The appetite has changed now with a shift towards growth stocks.
Perhaps people think Telstra will have to spend large amounts of money to just maintain market share.
So you have cost cutting, investment in the next generation of mobile technology and as the proceeds from NBN dry up in a few years Telstra continue to pay out more to the NBN for access.
Competition increases.
Where does growth come from?
