I know how we can get rid of one useless layer of management and save on overheads. By combining two hopeless companies, CTP and COE, into one we dispense with one management and end up with only one hopeless company. They are both largely gas producers so there may be some synergies there. Remarkably if you compare their price charts over one, three or five years they have performed much the same. This will streamline my portfolio as I will only have to review one set of disappointing results and get rid of one dog stock. Fortunately for me they make up only around 2% of my portfolio ATM.
