I have never had faith in the guarantee -------- to me - it's just words by a body (government) that has proven already many times that it cannot be trusted.
Also, if by some chance Aussies had to actually rely on our wonderful government guarantee for recovering our 250k aussie dollars because one of our banks went r's up --
our dollar would likely not buy a Chinese paper plate anyway by then
