By the end of the week we will have a pretty good idea of the future direction of the DOW. Friday is the key day as the Fed. Reserve may have pressure on it to increase short term interest rates.
So we will have to nervously (for some) await the core PCE deflator in the US ... if the figure comes in on the high side (ie. inflationary) then world stock markets will follow the US market down ... down ... to who knows where ... but it will be down.
Put in a nutshell: increased inflation = more rate rises = further declines in equities (and out market will not be immune)
