Australia will appoint an ambassador to advocate for people with disability in the developing world.
The Minister for International Development, Melissa Parke, announced the creation of the position of Australian Ambassador for Disability-Inclusive Development on Monday. Ms Parke said the person, who would be appointed in coming weeks, would ensure people with disability were included in, and benefited equally from, Australia's aid program.
