Which is greater concept "Search Engine" or "AI"

when google started as a concept in 1996 from Stanford no one thought it could turn out to be one the greatest success stories. Compare to 1996 google to 2016 this is not the the same it evolved, strengthened itself through acquisitions, mergers, take overs and above all collaborations.
so where is BRN now: with every announcement specially last one the concept is slowly moving towards reality I would say it's only 15-20% towards it's eventual potentials
there are stumbling blocks concerns following are few
1. valuation at this stage of development
2. types of patents and how vigorously they can be defended
3. what other big players are going ( I believe BRN can compliment what others are doing)
4. acceptance by peers as equal (recent collaboration moves BRN in right direction)
5. CR what kind and at what term

However if you believe the story and eventual applications than these concerns appear to be less annoying
