which of the nova neighbours will score first?

Putting this here coz some SIR posters got stroppy about discussing the whole area on a SIR thread. Apparently even though SIR was the prime focus, we shouldn't have mentioned any of the other stocks.

Anyhow, SIR's Nova discovery has changed the way that the Fraser Range/Dundas area is seen by explorers. Any new discovery does that, and Nova is no exception.

Observers suggest that the Nova deposit is of a type that elsewhere (Thompson Belt in Canada for example) occurs in clusters. The discovery of Nova gives clues as to the type of deposit, and the lithological and structural controls. It also gives clues as to which exploration techniques are effective. In the case of Nova it appears that IP and EM are very useful tools, together with geochem and traditional geology.

A lot of thought is being given to the possibility of further discoveries in the region and there are a number of companies besides SIR that could deliver.

My guess is that we will see another discovery fairly soon, and that will create great excitement with all of the companies in the area.

It has been pointed out that after SFR's Degrussa discovery a lot of nearology players attracted keen market interest, but ultimately have yielded not much. However, that doesn't mean that the Fraser Range/Dundas area won't host further discoveries.

SIR has a lot of ground in the area, and so, separately, does Mark Creasy. Apart from those, this amateur has chosen BOA, BUX, MAT and SFX as having the most similar settings to Nova. Time will tell.
