Gillard is damaged goods for a number of reasons but principally because she is linked to the corruption that is being exposed in some parts of the Labor Party.
Abbott IMO is simply seen as being a nasty piece of work by most people who is a childish opportunist with little idea of policy and who frequently contradicts himself.
Neither of these two leaders possess any natural leadership qualities and both are ditherers.
Will they be replaced before this year's election...who knows...but I think if one is replaced then the other will quickly be replaced also.
