Skypiliot, Oh my God the implications could be horrifying. While the greatest threat is to Japan this could have ramifications way beyond that country. I posted on the general forum I dont want a nuclear reactor within 5000km of my place of abode. These things are like a plane crash, they tell you mits safer than driving a car but when they go down its usually doomsday for everyone. With a nuclear reactor it may rarely happen but when it does it can take out and impact peoples lives beyond a generation.
They say its an expensive option too so given we have other options inn renewables etc who need them here?
I will vote against any party that promotes nuclear power in this country including the Labor party. If both Liberal and Labor support it I will go for another option.
