If your stops are hit then you are obviously wrong, for stocks. Who cares. Some people may target stops if they are able to but at the end of the day, if a stock is moving a certain way then stops will be placed in certain areas. If they get hit, it means they were too close to price action or a trend has changed. When trading don't get too caught up on this. It is just a simple cost of business.
If you are using a market maker for index trades, then maybe a difference.
