I held TCL for the first time during 14/15 and have the distribution statement which has a 30 June record date and August payment date. The statement refers to using it for the 15 tax year, although I've had previous advice that income is received/declared on the payment date for tax purposes. My portfolio management software (which automatically registers dividends) is also putting this into the 15/16 tax year, contrary to the statement advice.
Any views on where the income belongs?
