ahhh but...the all ords is a small fish, hence it moves harder in each direction, as compared with the dow jones which is much larger, and moves much less.
Its like comparing a blue chip mining stock with a small cap mining stock. The Blue chip moves a small percent each day, where as the small cap miner will move a lot more in percentage terms.
