Jean I don't know if its a good idea to buy banks today but will know more tomorrow and have a sure answer for you next week lol - I believe buying them today would be trying to pick the bottom and that is a high risk low probability trade. Banks are really on the nose right now.
But if you're brave and don't mind taking a knock every now and then, sure, why not? Provided you put a stop loss in place and use it if things go bad.
