A study commissioned by a number of the worlds leading mining groups (+500,000oz per annum producers) in late 2008 looked at the average cost to replace reserves through acquisition and exploration globally. The figure was US$75/oz. That pretty much caps the upside in the near term unless we see $2000/oz in the next 12 months!
