I have been contact by a few posters who have not been able to vote through the method on the Notice for the AGM.
Others on Hotcopper have also expressed no luck in getting onto our share registry Automic Group.
I called Automic and my understanding is that if a shareholding is bought through a broker service then that broker puts those shares in a Nominee (company) and that Nominee company is the registered owner of the shares and the investor is a beneficiary.
This would explain why some posters have had difficulty voting.
I am not sure but suspicious that these Nominee holders have voting power. If they have voting power no wonder there has been a massive number of shares voting "FOR" the resolutions in the previous general meetings,
Can anybody shed light on my suspicions and/or have knowledge of the powers of Nominees?
