And get this one punters....

The Viet people loves playing cards - just normal cards.

I suppose it is cheap enough and they can gamble to make an extra quid if they want to - right?

Anyway, whilst I was out walking I saw one card, face-down, at one end of Foo My Hoong, so being the forever curious little beaver I am, I bent over (please do not let the minds wander there folks) and low and behold, it was my favourite card - the Ace of Spades. I am a chronic gambler/BlackJack.

Anyway, I pocketed it, and feeling pretty happy, I continued on my way down Fu My Hoong main drag feeling as though my luck may be about to change.

About another 1km down the road, towards the DownTown intersection, where I was headed to haggle with a tree merchant who I am trying to buy some Big Bonsai's off (he wants 1.500.000 VND for two - although this morning we agreed on 1.250.000 VND for two - hue bewdie:-) I saw another card on the ground - face down. So, thinking, 'What are my chances of flipping yet another Ace, let alone another Ace of Spades, I bent at the knees this time, and picked up the card.

This card was considerably older and more soiled than the first one, and I know few people would believe it, but it was, indeed, another Ace of Spades.

Now while I am a HD Actuarial/Finance student who has a chronic card-counting and gambling addiction (so I really don't need any pure mathematical statistical analysis done - thanks all the same), I mean, don't you all feel that is a little 'uncanny'?

Your thoughts appreciated please.

I have the two cards in my wallet right now and they will, of course, go straight to the Pool Room :-)
