If you’re here for the long term, here’s an interesting story to help pass the time, about a junior Aussie company with a world class ore deposit, which they brought into production in the remote jungle of north-western Zambia.

In 2003 at the completion of the PFS, their share price was 6c and market cap $5.5 million. This sounds familiar…

Raised $13 million (twice their market cap) to complete a BFS in 2005, and over the following 5 years for construction and working capital raised in total $800 million in equity and $640 million in bank debt, while retaining 90% of the project. A lot of people think this is impossible for a junior company, it is not.

In 2011, 2.5 years after first production, was taken over at $8.15/share = market cap of $7.3 billion.

Not without some major setbacks along the way (fire, GFC)… there will always be setbacks.
