As Keith suggests you will have to trawl back.
You will find a video produced by VRX showing how a 3 metre by 3 metre square area of topsoil with the vegetation intact is lifted by a modified forklift.
These squares are set aside and the underling silica sand removed.
The squares, with the undisturbed vegetation are then replaced in their original positions.
The actual sand extraction/ separation does not leave any tailings or spent dumped residue.
So there is no visible scarring or damage to the landscape
or loss of flora or fauna.
This is the exact opposite to most mining
which by its very nature does cause some environmental damage.
