You are right since ATC is a NRTI HIV project and IDX899 is a NNRTI project. NNRTI is now the preferred main stream.

In addition, GSK's Lamivudine is know to reduce the efficacy of ATC when co-administered and its other NRTI drugs are poor matches with ATC.

Gilead Sciences? They just do not need anything since it owns two dominant NRTIs in the market, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir.

JNJ? They just have its own NNRTI approved in January 2008.

Bristol-Myers-Squibb? They own their own NNRTI drug, Sustiva and Atripla.
