If Telstra write it off , it would be more than 400 millions loss. Due to the recent change/restructure in Telstra Tecehnology (see Telstra ASX report), Ted Pretty or Dr Ziggy may do something on the KYC so that the share performance would improve.
SCG (Small Company Guide) has also got a spec buy below A$1.30 for KYC.
Another explanation may be Telstra may want to use the KYC product (smart card).
Do your own research or consult your adviser before you buy of sell.
