I have watched the video a number of times and I would have been surprised a jury didn't find him guilty.

To that point remember it was a jury of his peers that unanimously found him guilty

I have been in the situation where it has taken 7 of us to subdue a guy crazy on drugs.
You give an inch and somebody - not him is going to be hurt. Me, I want to go home to my wife and kids. Yep I would keep the choker hold on him until he was cuffed and after !!!
It is not a Hollywood movie.
