On ABC News I've just listened to Indi's MHR, Cathy McGowan, lament that "It's white males in the National Party".
That was after she expressed significant concerns at the current dysfunctional culture tearing the Liberal Party to shreds and its ongoing failures to address issues including the under-representation and bullying of females.
McGowan went further, complimenting in glowing terms Bill Shorten's Labor Team for rebuilding the culture of the Party to better include and to better represent not only females but also the full range of peoples living in Australia.
She called on Scott Morrison to demonstrate leadership in the two months leading up to the Wentworth By Election. She expressed hope that Parliament would return to the civility required of Julia Gillard's Government by cross benchers that was destroyed by Tony Abbott, stating that she hoped the current government would recover enough to survive its full term.
