This Saturday morning, it was good to read another positive article, this time relating to the definite availability of Milling opportunities that exist at the White Mesa Uranium Mill, owned & operated by Energy Fuels.

The White Mesa, facility has a licensed capacity of 2,000 tons per day and can produce up to 8 million lbs. of Uranium per year.

Here's the article in question relating to Laramide Resources material ore processing agreement ............................

New toll-milling agreement for US’s operating Uranium Mill

TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Uranium project developer Laramide Resources has struck an accord with the operator of the only operational US uranium mill to process material from its fully owned La Sal II uranium mine, in Utah.

The two-year agreement, with an option to extend it to three years, would see fellow TSX-listed Energy Fuels process up to 20 000 t at its White Mesa mill during a test phase.

Laramide said it would pay Energy Fuels the costs to mill its ore, a capital charge plus a toll milling fee per ton of ore, which would be partly linked to the long-term uranium price.

Laramide's agreement with Energy Fuels accommodates additional ore production once La Sal II is permitted for full production.

"The considerable progress made at La Sal II over the past few years meets our stated objective of near-term production visibility from our U.S. asset base. We look forward to delivering on our next development and operational targets and for continuing recovery in the uranium markets," Laramide CEO Marc Henderson said.

“This transaction also underscores the strategic importance of owning the only operating uranium mill in the US that is within trucking distance of a large resource base with significant historical production. Over time, we expect to grow this type of revenue source by signing toll milling and/or ore purchase arrangements with other uranium property owners in the region who will require the functionality of the White Mesa mill in order to mine and generate revenue from their properties,” Energy Fuels CEO Stephen Antony added.

Energy Fuels will use samples from Laramide's bulk sample programme to confirm metallurgical and mill compatibility and then process the 20 000 t. The fully permitted bulk sample programme allows Laramide to start underground development activities, and with positive results, would allow for a commercial production decision at La Sal II.

Henderson early in November told Mining Weekly Online the company would use its two near-term uranium projects in the US, the other being the La Jara Mesa project, as well as a royalty option on a near-term uranium project, to bridge the gap to production at its flagship Westmoreland project, after a decades-long ban on mining the radioactive metal in Queensland was lifted in October.

The above article does clarify what BLR Management have hinted over the past 12 Months that they have more than one option in processing the High grade Hansen/Taylor ( 4,800ppm - 10,000+ ablated Ore )

    YES the 4,800ppm - 10,000+ppm is not a misprint.

The White Mesa Mill is the only fully-licensed and operating conventional uranium mill in the United States, and only one of three in North America. The facility has a licensed capacity of 2,000 tons per day and can produce up to 8 million lbs. of uranium per year. White Mesa also has a co-recovery circuit to produce vanadium from Colorado Plateau ores, and an alternate feed circuit to process other uranium-bearing materials, such as those derived from uranium conversion and other metal processing.

    Cheers from Grant :)

Options continue to grow for BLR Ore processing with the recent positive news regarding the likely decision that Energy Fuels planned Pinon Ridge Mill in Colorado will attain the Green light to be built.

Then the third option of a most likely event in that Cameco may step in as a contender.

    Press Releases
Positive Decision Issued on Energy Fuels' Pinon Ridge Mill
    January 15, 2013

Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX : EFR) (“Energy Fuels” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that an appointed hearing officer issued a decision confirming that the Company’s Piñon Ridge Mill will continue to move forward in the State of Colorado’s licensing process. An administrative hearing for the Piñon Ridge Mill took place between November 7, 2012 and November 12, 2012 in Nucla, Colorado (as ordered by Denver District Court in June 2012) for the purpose of augmenting the administrative record that the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (“CDPHE”) will consider in deciding whether to reissue a new license for the Piñon Ridge Mill.

Judge Richard Dana, who presided over the administrative hearing, concluded in his January 14, 2013 decision that the hearing fully satisfied the requirements of Colorado law and that CDPHE must consider any new evidence presented at the hearing. It is the Company’s belief that little new evidence was presented. As this hearing was an intermediate procedural step in the re-licensing process of the Piñon Ridge Mill, the judge made no recommendations regarding the approval or denial of the license. CDPHE is now required to issue a new license decision by April 27, 2013.

About Energy Fuels: Energy Fuels is America's largest conventional uranium producer, supplying approximately 25% of the uranium produced in the U.S., and is also a significant producer of vanadium. The company operates the White Mesa Mill, which is the only conventional uranium mill currently operating in the U.S., capable of processing 2,000 tons per day of uranium ore. Energy Fuels has projects located throughout the Western U.S., including producing mines and mineral properties in various stages of permitting and development.
