"You agree that black solar panels retain heat so that heat is then conducted into the atmosphere so it is effectively a thermal blanket covering the planet.Atm its debatable how much of the heat from black solar panels are contributing to so called global warming but wait until there are trillions of solar panels covering the planets landscape"

    Hi Kenso ,
If you just look at area , and ignore other variables, if you covered NSW with solar panels , that would be more than sufficient to power the world.
Making the panels white [ apart from reducing efficiency] would have a vanishingly small effect on the world's albedo ratio , 0.3 [ amount of energy reflected].
In fact with 15% efficiency of energy conversion , the present panels are not too different to the land on which they are built.
So , for instance , panels on a dark roof , because they convert sunlight into energy which is effectively taken elsewhere , or replaces energy which would have been brought in , and the albedo of the roof is likely to be less than .15 , probably cool the house.

That NSW based on 170,000 terawatts , 2022 world energy usage. Cover the whole Arabian peninsula [ probably a project that would find favour with lots on these threads ] , energy to burn.

Now on the white roads, , again , that won't effect global warming that much , but it has large local effects.

    cheers
