Yeh its while interesting placing a real difference is much harder perhaps ?

One religion has a head of state of it . ie the pope and perhaps could be called a homogeneous religion as it can have a directive from a supreme leader ?

The other has no head of state as an ultimate leader of it and cannot have a directive from a supreme leader it maybe a heterogeneous religion .

One perhaps is much easier to control then the other and possibly why you can modenize it for society through literature that is used .

But seems good enough reason you can get a second writing of scripture similar to how we go to the the high court for interpretations of the constitution they are written from the past still and the intention is what is decided as the law from the original scripture .
