The market misprices shares all the time. If it did not do so, there would be no opportunities for you and me and everyone else to buy stocks we thought were undervalued.
The market is not that efficient.
Sometimes things are overpriced, sometimes things are underpriced. It just happens. Sometimes it happens for extended periods of time.
Its not an excuse. It’s plausible.
