Just a general comment [and I realise you know this Precis]. What matters most is not the often quoted $USD price of the base metals but it's the AUD price. Same as is done for gold and silver, AMI accounts for the base metals in AUD so the situation is not as unfavourable for base metals as some think. A steady decline in the AUD relative to the USD might be bad for holidays to Disneyland but it is good for AMI's bottom line when the income from base metal sales comes to account.
Discussion point.: Are there people here who claim to hold long positions but are in fact day trading on the short side? It's the only explanation I can think of for some of the comments..
