Medicare isn’t manna from Heaven (remember there’s a little thing called the Medicare Levy taxpayers are slugged with each and every year).

And there is still a substantial gap between what is charged and the rebate you receive.

Having said that, I still prefer a health system where we have Medicare, rather than one where we don’t, but it’s not a healthcare silver bullet by any means.
