No its not stupid..prices move in waves..wave 1 goes up from a pretty uneventful kind of base..they move on insiders, CRs, traders, gossip, etc..wave 2s go down as news disappears and profit takers overwhelm the scene but it stops short of the start of wave1.. then wave 3 begins as the real news and announcements starts to flow in..wave 3s are a rerate based on fundamentals..contracts, profits, sector rerates etc etc..this draws in a very large crowd and gaps are usually not filled during this wave. ..lets see.
