1) the government is spending $42 billion to save 90,000 jobs, that's $400,000 per job. why not just pay the 90,000 unemployed $100,000 directly (that's $9 billion) & use the remaining $33 billion on major infrastructure (which will create NEW jobs) that will leave our country with lasting assets.
2) you say "The children of small businesses whose businesses the Labor government is trying to save", if labor is serious about saving small businees then why not immediately scrap the ETS & cancel the rollback of Workchoices. Rolling back Workchoices will stifle employment growth badly & i'm not even going to try to explain the damage an ETS will do to our economy.
