Lets see how they can sell even before they get these shares.

not saying this is what happened, saying this is how you can do it.

Say you have x amount of stock already, you get offered some more stock at lower than current price.

so you sell your present holdings, at say 7 or 8 or 6, knowing you will get this stock back at 5

didn't we have some good trading days just prior to the ann on this.

so they could end up with the same amount of stock, with a nice little profit, some of these could have been sold prior to the announcement it was going to happen.

So it could be that most of these shares have already gone.

Look at many other stocks that do placements, there is usually a vol spike just before they are announced, funny how that works isn't it.

Again not saying it has happened here, most longer term people in the market will know exactly what I am talking about here.
