Exercise of Options and Issue of Shares


Cape Lambert Iron Ore Limited ("the Company") (ASX: CFE, AIM: CLIO) has today issued and allotted 49,180,000 Ordinary Shares following the exercise of 180,000 ASX listed options of A$0.277 each and 49,000,000 unlisted options of A$0.327.


Application to the London Stock Exchange has been made for these new Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM ("Admission"). It is expected that Admission will become effective on 4 September 2008.


The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.


Following the issue of these shares the Company has 435,562,948 fully paid ordinary shares in issue.


49,000,000 of these newly issued Ordinary Shares are allotted to Power United Limited.


49,000,000 Ordinary Shares represents 11.2% of the Company's total voting rights.
