As unpleasant and intimidating as your experience was on a personal level, it doesn't warrant overturning important rights we all have.

I'm not particularly worried about the bikies as such, but rather when we bring in laws against one specific group (invalid IMO)then those laws and precedents will be used against us or another group one day.
There are no shortage of existing laws with which to charge people, what the government doesn't like is losing, they have admitted as much. They blame "clever lawyers" for not being able to gaol people they want to gaol, so simply change the rules. This is a very bad approach. It is a very bad thing to have prosecutors who want to win at all costs.

Five years in gaol for refusing to answer questions in a star chamber? Wait till that idea is transferred to the rest of us, given that a precedent will have been set.
The right to silence is the right of everyone.

The right to freedom of association is another right taken away.It is the right of all of us to mix with whomever we want.

Given that removing a whole criminal class in one hit creates a vacuum that will be filled, my question is which new crime gang is Newman replacing the bikies with?

    cheers
