    Hi Querty8,

From reading your posts I conclude that you are GS employee that holds a position within the company that enabled to learn of its fate before the general public. Given that you read the West Australian I can only conclude that you are based in WA (no one else would read that dribble).

First I'd like to say that I do emphasis with your current fate and can understand the difficult position that you find yourself in but it is not the news outlets that have created the position that you find yourself in. It is the GS executive and senior managers and their greed.

I hate to say it but a bad ordour has been emanating from this company for a while now. I can not understand how either a contractor or employee could not have foressen this occuring sometime ago because god knows nearly every investor on this site has been predicting this for some time. I believe the first signs appeared around August last year (10 months ago!!)

To date this story (GS collapse) has really only had business journalist comment on it and as such I think they have justifiably focused on the directors and executive staff. To take the focus off them would be wrong.

Also I think you are trivialising the losses suffered by investors and rather piously putting your own losses above everyone else.

This company isn't going to disappear in a puff of smoke the tree will continue to grow, be cut down and exported to Japan. People will continue to be paid to do this. The horticultural projects will continue to be managed, produce yields and provide a return for whomever owns them. This is the nature of agriculture, unless you rip it out of the ground it needs to be tendered. Also these schemes will even need to be administered and eventual wound up which will take a number of years. About the only part of this company that is truely terminal is the executive, senior managers and sales force and from my perspective perhaps this isn't a bad thing.
