"considered compassion" should be staring everyone in the face when comparing the two causes or cases (legitimately queuing asylum seekers versus Irregular Maritime Arrivals and others) and yet there are many who appear to ignore the whole picture...

...PCers love to enforce the rules and tell everyone how they should be and act...but in this case, the rules are being broken by both the queue jumpers (with the PCers happy to stand by and support their plight).

I'm glad you agree that these queue jumpers should indeed go through the proper asylum seeker channels and therefore would not object to them being deported.

I personally would be happy to see just as many asylum seekers accepted, but only those who take the proper route - escaping to their nearest safe haven.

As for your other advice, I don't know if i am qualified to speak on behalf of whoever you are directing your comments and so I put it to you that you are better served to direct your suggestions at them.
