Not sure how you can call tightening of monetary policy of the FED "shorting the market". The FED (as well as the RBA) have 2 very clear, independent agendas that are written in stone and that's to curb inflation. The markets drop due to the need to use a higher discount rate when doing a dividend discount or cashflow model to value stocks. Its not the FEDs job to continue propping up the market with easy money but to say that they are shorting is very cynical.
