When I look back on 2018 and the performance of the SP of PLS, I don't
think that shorting was the big culprit. The Morgan Stanley report of near term
over supply of lithium was the real catalyst. In the U.S. markets, I believe you can
tell your broker that you do not want your shares to be made available for lending.
I would take this issue a step further. I shouldn't have to tell my broker anything.
If, at any time, my broker wants to use the shares of any stocks in my portfolio for this purpose, he must
be required to seek and obtain my written permission first. I don't want to give the
guy across the table the bullets that he will then shoot at me.
