With the news coming from Europe I started to wonder who we are dealing with.

Who owns Volvo Cars? Volvo Cars is owned by the Chinese conglomerateZhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd., commonly known as Geely Holding. Geely is a multinational corporation that owns multiple businesses and brands in the automotive industry, and they took over the Volvo Cars brand in 2010.
3: Stellantis

Stellantis, a multinational automotive manufacturing company, has several partnerships with Chinese companies, including:

• Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC)

  Stellantis plans to increase its stake in its 50-50 joint venture with GAC to 75%.
• Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd.

  Stellantis sold automotive assets to Dongfeng, including land use rights, buildings, and structures in Wuhan and Xiangyang.
• Leapmotor

  Stellantis acquired a 20% stake in Leapmotor, forming a joint venture to export Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) to Europe:

  • The joint venture will allow Stellantis to build EVs based on Leapmotor technology in Europe, North America, and other markets.
  • Stellantis expects to quickly grow sales of China-made EVs outside of China.
    
    
  • However, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said that expansion plans do not currently include distribution in the U.S. due to new American tariffs on China-made EVs.
