I started work at age 15. I retired at age 60, 18 years ago, after 40 years in IT with IBM across cost clerk, computer operator, analyst/programmer, data base specialist systems engineer, project manager and consultant. I have a degree in Economics and after 18 months realized it was hogwash, but saw it through because it had a few units based on math, and i thought that would help me in my IT career. Anyway there were a lot of bright people doing the same course, and i thought those guys would sort it out. They haven't.
Started an SMSF with my wife on retirement, did well early, got knocked around a bit with GFC and again by OPEC. May have learnt my lessons, eg, ignore experts/tipsters who tell you this time is different when the market is overpriced, or falling, regardless. I think markets are still overpriced, due to QE. It won't end well.
I came across PAR because i look at almost anything that pops up, and PAR popped up in a Livewire posting.
My advice, write down why you buy any stock. Then check out if it still meets those criteria. I bought PAR because of its ridiculous potential, i think offhand June 2019 at 1.36, i rated $57 by end 2021.That date has slipped a year. I have averaged $1.62 on topping up. I did miss the $1.08 by 1c when i placed an order and went for a minor surgery.
I had played golf for last 20 years up to 18months back, getting up to 3x week, than shoulder OA and tendon problems stopped me, recently having knee problems but manageable. Zilosul looks like arriving just in time.
At this juncture i think i will pretty much sit back and watch.
Stay safe.
