Fair enough, that makes sense.
However, in a way, couldn’t this be seen as a positive sign? For the past few months (and likely years for some), short sellers have been blatantly manipulating the share price. If this capital raise is for the shorts to exit, isn’t that itself a sign that positive developments might be on the horizon? It could mean that the short sellers no longer feel the need to drive the share price down.
