Thinking on this it would need gas flow to be going through the pipeline which in all merits no gas was traveling through the pipelines, or it needs be able be self-propelled through the pipeline by some means.
The only people who don't own a part of this pipelines as far a company's goes seems be the Yanks
Anyone else is blowing up their own infrastructure. Which in war maybe reasonable to assume could be done to prevent an enemy using it.
No other reason makes obvious reasonable sense to blow up infrastructure that is not being used.
