the other win the US had was , wisely , reshaping the world after the war .
Rather than try and punish Japan and Germany as was done after WW1 the US put tons of money into rebuilding and strenghtening them as bulwarks against communism and strong allies .
The US by deeds such as this and by improving it's own economy has earned power .

Russia has never had that sort of vision - taking , not giving was always their thing .
They want power , at least a sphere of influence like they used to have , so they try to steal to get it .
    Silly .

Those days have gone for all nations .... countries make their own choices for allies and are not forced .
After Iraq was invaded and the US left , having a lot of shiites , they formed a good relationship with Iran ... an enemy of the US .
    THEIR CHOICE !

The Ottoman and Austo-Hungarian empires dominated for centuries ,,, gone now ....like the Brittish empire ..... times change ... if russia wants to succeed the first thing they need to do is support modern leadership not mired in the past so they are living in the right century .

Ethnic russians here showing loyalty are very foolish in not realising this and still craving for those old glory days .
I'd be happy to see russia succeed ...because to do that they'd need to get rid of the corruption and start developing their economy and improve the standard of living of their people ...good for russia , good for the world !
