I went to a state school, some of the things done to kids then was terrible, blackboard dusters thrown at kids, hair ripped out, a teacher i had that was also a medium fast bowler for Australia was also my teacher in 1973, he would belt us with the big blackboard ruler that was over a meter long, it left a big black strip of bruising across my ass, hate to think what some of the nuns did.
